It might sound strange to you, but it is quite possible to make money without a job these days.

For instance, in most European countries, you can get paid while you study, when you are on social welfare, or when you are unemployed, but even if you don’t live in Europe, it is still possible for you to make money without a job.

Thanks to the Internet, more and more people find new ways to make a living for themselves without a job.

For that reason, I decided to tell you how it is possible to make money without ever having to work a full-time job and with the potential of earning more money than if you had to slave away for 45-50 hours a week.

Here is what I will cover in this article:

Newsletter
  • How to get paid for doing small tasks
  • Getting paid to travel the world
  • How to become a digital freelancer

If that sounds interesting to you, I will list five different ways to make money without a job below that you can start doing today.

You might find it strange that none of them require any previous experience, and you can even get the training for free, but most don’t require anything, and you can get started right away.

Continue to read this article to get all the details.

How to Get Paid for Doing Small Tasks

You can start working as a Virtual Assistant (VA) or join a website or app and make money from home tonight.

There are excellent food delivery services that you can join as well, and you get paid for delivering food to hungry mouths by driving for Uber Eats or similar companies.

Even if these are great, here are 5 of my favorite things you can do that pay you more and give you more spare time.

Virtual Assistant (VA) – Getting Paid for Doing Small Tasks and Helping Businesses Out

As a virtual assistant, you get paid for doing small tasks for small businesses.

The tasks you will do depend on what the business owner wants you to do, and it can be things like:

  • Uploading photos to a website
  • Read-proofing blog posts, and written emails
  • Write emails to customers, and prospects
  • Creating spreadsheets for the business
  • Sharing information and links about the company to create awareness, and backlinks to the companies electronic resources
  • Managing or updating the business’ social media channels
  • And a lot more.

As you can see, most of the things that I have listed above are small tasks that you can do today, even if you have no experience. There were more options available when you got some experience.

The best way to start working as a virtual assistant is to join a website or app.

Sites like Fiverr.com, PeoplePerHour.com, and Upwork.com can be great starting places to start your new virtual assistant side hustle or get more clients.

Taking Paid Surveys – How to Get Paid for Sharing Your Opinions

If you don’t want to do a lot of work, you can still get paid for doing small things.

I earned my first dollar online by taking paid surveys and sharing my opinions about marketing campaigns, my views on politics, and suggesting improvements for big companies.

For this reason, I still think it’s a great way to get started.

If you’re interested in getting more details on how you can get started today and have well-known companies pay you for your opinions, I recommend that you read my article on how you can get paid for filling out surveys.

Even if it’s a great starting point, it’s not what I recommend that you do if you want to make real money online.

The compensation you get is very little, but it also takes a couple of minutes (up to an hour) of your day, and you can exchange what you earn after filling out those platforms into gift cards on internet shops that belong to brands that are household names.

If you want my personal preference, keep reading, and I will reveal it somewhere further down below.

Make Money Typing Words

Another side hustle that I discovered while writing this article is that you can get paid to type words on your computer.

All you have to do is to write a few words and phrases on your computer to get paid, and you only need to spend a couple of hours every day typing them, and you can potentially make a full-time living.

I know how it sounds. It sounds like a pipedream, but if you’re interested, tap or click on the picture to get all the details.

I can’t guarantee that you will make anything, since that is the result most people get when they try to “make money online”, and if you want a better way, I cover it below.

Travel Blogger

One of my favorite ways to make money is by blogging.

If you love to travel and want to do it as a living (yes, it’s possible), you want to start your travel blog.

One of the most significant issues people have with starting a blog is choosing the blog’s name, and as a blogger myself, I know how hard that part can be.

Every time I have encountered a blogger, one of the first questions they have asked me is a similar question like:

Should you go for a general and broader term like “Travel tips for the price-conscious traveler ” or something specific like “Living life to the fullest in London”?

Undoubtedly, both approaches have pros and cons, and you need to choose a healthy balance between the two.

If you’re struggling with that, I suggest you read my tips on naming your blog to get some inspiration and examples.

In that article, I help you come up with a good name for your blog.

Then, many new bloggers are struggling with choosing somewhere to host their blog, and I understand how intimidating and daunting the technical aspects of having a blog can be.

I always recommend going with a self-hosted WordPress blog since that is the easiest one to set up with little to no effort.

Most of the hosts recommended by WordPress offer a non-technical 1-click solution. It would help if you also chose an admin-username (tip: NEVER use admin as your admin-username) and a password (make sure you use a secure one).

Now, you should be up and running and ready to start writing your first piece of content.

How to Monetize Your Blog and Make Money without Working

There are three main ways to monetize your blog that are pretty popular in the blogging community these days:

  1. Put ads on your blog.
  2. Get paid by recommending hotels, tourist locations, airtickets, and other things.
  3. Create your own course.

The first one is by far the easiest, and that is putting up ads on your blog.

Even if Google has their Ads-platform that is free to join, you will make very little money compared to other ad platforms, but you can sign up to it as soon as your blog has a piece of written content on it.

If they reject you, don’t get discouraged. Try to publish a couple of articles, and then re-apply if they reject you the first time.

The second way to monetize your blog is probably the most popular one on the Internet today. You are getting paid a small commission for recommending hotels, visiting popular tourist locations, airplane tickets, etc.

It is called affiliate marketing, and here is my walkthrough on how it works.

The concept is pretty simple: You send visitors from your blog and get people to click a link, and then you get paid a commission when your visitors have purchased something through your link.

Many of the most familiar brands like Amazon have affiliate programs, and it should never cost you anything.

They are named something like “affiliate program,” they can also be called “partner program,” “publisher program,” “associates (like Amazon), and so on.

The third and last one might sound daunting to you if you’re starting your first blog, and that’s the reason I put it last.

Creating your course will be very hard if you have started your first blog recently, but if you have already been living in that city or continent for a while, you can write your guide and shoot small videos that you can publish on Youtube or Wistia.

A great way to get inspiration is to do a google search and look at what other travel bloggers have been doing to get some ideas.

Never steal someone else’s ideas, or copy them bluntly word-by-word. Use it as inspiration, and put your spin on it! Surely. It will be hard in the beginning, but if you’re doing it over and over again, it will become second nature to you.

Which method do I use?

I use a combination of the first and the second one on all my blogs.

If you want to learn how to do it the right way, I would like to recommend a product that helped me get started, and it works even if you’re not in the travel niche but want to create a profitable blog.

You can read my review about the program below and make up your mind whether it is the right fit for you or not.

How to Make Money without a Job as a Digital Nomad

One of the most popular ways to make money without having a job is to become a digital nomad.

Being a travel blogger can be one way to make money as a digital nomad, and if you want to work in exotic places, like a beach, that is possible.

The best part is that you can travel the world, make a living for yourself, and get unforgettable experiences.

One of the biggest concerns that many beginner digital nomads have is where they can afford to live. It usually means that they have to travel to counties where the living costs are lower than in the US, Canada, or Western Europe, but there are exceptions, as I see in my list below.

Popular locations for digital nomads are:

  • Buenos Aires, Argentina
  • Medellin, Columbia
  • Tallin, Estonia
  • Playa del Carmen, Mexiko
  • Lisbon, Portugal
  • Las Palmas, Spain
  • Koh Lanta, Thailand

The list above is not conclusive but shows you where you can live and experience exotic countries, cultures, languages and broaden your worldview.

One of the best ways to learn a new language might be to travel to a place and learn it from the locals.

You can have local or digital English classes where people learn to speak English or do some small tasks for companies by leveraging US-based platforms like Fiverr, Upwork, and PeoplePerHour, to mention a few, or as a digital freelancer.

If that’s something that you’re interested in, here’s a great article on how to start as a digital nomad.

Some businesses help you set up your company (LLC) and even do accounting for you that will make your life hassle-free so that you can enjoy your life without even having to file your tax return.

That can help you work as both a digital nomad and a digital freelancer, which is my personal favorite.

Make Money without a Job as a Digital Freelancer

The difference between a digital freelancer and a digital nomad is that, for the most part, a digital freelancer is working from a fixed location, while a digital nomad is traveling and is on the move.

I don’t mind traveling, but I prefer to work from home, and that’s my personal preference.

You might have a different approach, and if you do, I suggest that you read the part above, where I shared some information about how you can make money without a job as a digital nomad.

There are two essential steps you need to take before you can start working as a digital freelancer:

First, you need to define your why (why you want to start as a digital freelancer) and set your goals.

Secondly, you need to set up your company and file all the documents required or hire a service like ZenBusiness if you live in the US or Xolo if you live in the European Union.

Once you have filed all the necessary paperwork, you can join the aforementioned platforms and get clients.

Indeed, getting clients on those platforms is hard, and for that reason, I don’t recommend you quit your current job if you have one.

Wait until you have enough consistent clients to make ends meet, and then consider leaving your job.

I usually don’t work on these platforms myself but work as an independent digital freelancer, and it all began when I joined a challenge that allowed me to see the potential and make my first dollar online.

If that interests you, click here and watch the video, and then decide whether you should join the 15-day challenge yourself.*

That got me started, and I can not guarantee that you will get the same results as I did since I had some training before I started.

According to my personal experience, the best part of taking that 15-day challenge is getting a personal coach who has gone through the entire process and will guide you along the way.

That’s the reason why that is my favorite way to make money without a job.

If you decide to purchase the challenge, which costs $7, I will make $1 from your purchase, and I want to be transparent about it and tell you upfront about it.

I hope that you have got a lot of valuable information from this article.
